World Environment Day (WED) is an international day of environmental awareness and action that happens on 5th June each year.
Started in 1974 by the United Nations, each year WED is hosted in a different country, with events focusing on a central theme. World Environment Day 2020 is being held in Colombia, with Biodiversity as the central theme.
Every year on 5th June, people across the globe gather to celebrate World Environment Day.
Here at EGSCN, we know we have a responsibility to care for our environment which is why we are committed to raising young people to become environmentally conscious and enable their participation in school environment clubs to develop environment-friendly skilled and dedicated responsible citizens who are willing to work, individually and collectively towards achieving a high quality of life and environment.
